Liz Lake Associates were asked to design and provide planning support for a contemporary private garden application on the edge of London countryside. The site is surrounded by a coniferous plantation and is located sensitively within the London Green Belt. A carefully considered design approach was taken to ensure the design is contextually appropriate and integrated within the Green Belt landscape character, whilst still meeting the requirements of the client.

The entry roadway has a direct relationship with the contemporary architecture of the house, with tree-lined avenue, and formally shaped hedges creating a modern expression of traditional landscape forms and patterns. The linear front path of the house reflects the clean and crisp form of the architecture and leading through a striking water feature which articulates the simplicity of the façade design. The landscape design has a strong emphasis on creating ecology value includes features like green wall, bird box façade and a biophilic proposed at the centre of the building.
