55 affordable dwellings will help to invigorate the site North of Vandome Close. An integral piece of the strategy includes the redesign of underused public footways to encourage pedestrians to choose alternative routes to their destinations. The footpath which links Hartington Rd and Freemasons Rd has been widened with a hard landscape surface material, and features planting to the borders and tree canopy cover.
This site is a part of a series of proposals which connect on a wider scale, improving local connectivity for residents and adding value to existing neighborhoods. With the addition of a communal garden, we can hope a connected development which integrates within the surrounding context can create a better place for all.
