Liz Lake Associates were appointed by Torbay Council to provide landscape and visual input for the regeneration of the Debenhams Store alongside the historic Strand waterfront.  The proposals aim to provide a catalyst for the rejuvenation of this key stretch of the towns waterfront.   

Liz Lake associates worked with the architects and heritage consultants to advise on massing and how best for the proposals to be sympathetically incorporated into the sites historic architectural context.  We consulted with the Design Review Panel and council to agree on the Townscape and Visual Impact Assessment (TVIA) methodology and in 2022 prepared the TVIA and Type 4 visualisations to inform the planning submission.  In 2023 the application was successfully approved.
