Liz Lake Associates were appointed to create a high quality, landscape led residential scheme for 86 new homes in the heart of Mersea Island. Inspired by a flock of starlings, the landscape design intends to create a coastal style planting scheme with swathes of grass and large areas of public open space, play areas and a green corridor through the centre of the scheme. 

In addition to the grasslands, large areas of public open space beckon residents to gather, relax and foster a sense of community. Play areas provide a safe haven for children to explore, and a verdant green corridor threads through the heart of the scheme, serving as both a connective tissue and a sanctuary for local wildlife.
